In any musical performance, the brain must receive the right signals at the right time, ensuring a seamless flow of expression.

If we reverse our perspective, we realize that practicing music not only refines our musical abilities but also enhances brain activity and cognitive development. The discipline of music sharpens the mind, nurtures creativity, and fosters mindfulness. More importantly, it teaches us the power of confidence and intention—if you truly believe you won’t make a mistake, your mind aligns itself to that reality.

A Musical Revelation at Nehru Auditorium, Mumbai

On the 8th of this month, at Nehru Auditorium in Mumbai, I had the privilege of attending a mesmerizing musical evening, hosted by Purbayan da’s foundation. The event began with soulful performances by his students, each weaving a world of melodies with their unique artistry. And then, the grand finale—a spectacular performance by Purbayan da and the legendary Pandit Bickram Ghosh (Bickram da)—a moment of musical transcendence that reaffirmed the philosophy he had shared.

It was a living testament to his words: “If you believe you won’t make a mistake, you won’t.” The unwavering confidence and conviction reflected in their music reminded me that mastery isn’t about avoiding mistakes—it’s about embracing the moment with complete faith in oneself.

 Two years ago, my journey with cows and music took a transformative turn when I first visited Gauswarga , a divine initiative inspired and blessed by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Mahaswamiji of Sri Ramachandrapura Matha .
